Another very successful monthly demonstration meeting at St Philip and St James Church attracted 76 people, including 8 guests. Everyone agreed it was an excellent afternoon of learning and entertainment.

Marilyn worked very quickly, showing the different techniques you can use with watercolour and how these can be used for a variety of subject matter.  In the two hours (minus the introduction and tea and conversation break), she produced three different, very effective and attractive paintings.

With the painting of the doorway and the scooter, she sketched her composition in pencil first, before adding paint.  With the rabbit, she went straight in with the paint, in a loose and free style, using imaginative colour, demonstrating the adaptability of the medium.
